It doesn't matter
Hey there all you Wonderful Wellness Warriors!
The wind today was awesome. The washing dried like greased lightning and everything went so much faster because of this. The sense of achievement was really uplifting.
We often do not have control over certain things-like the weather. However, we do have control over our attitude towards life events and challenges.
Do you immediately default to the negative or positive side of attitude when faced with challenges or setbacks?
I am watching myself and others in this area. It has taken me many hours of focus and decided work to default to a more positive outlook on life. It is a decision. It is also reprogramming of our brains that achieves this. It takes rethinking values and attitudes, of practicing in all areas. Do I always get it right? I wish, but it is happening that it is more and more on the correct side than incorrect. It does take conscious practice.
Helping out at a learning centre has definitely helped. Children are here for us to learn from them, not necessarily to teach them. They, in turn, learn from us learning from them. They are our sandpaper and we are their varnish.
In my previous newsletter I shared with you the value of using questions, particularly’ why?’
Have you been using it? What results have you been discovering?
NB! It is very important to be aware of using the question in a positive sense. Be very aware of what you are actually asking.
Jessie-Sarah was very sore last week. So we posed the question, “Why am I pain free?”
We realized this was not a great way to phrase it. We were actually asking for her pain to increase! We re-phrased to:”Why am I remaining pain free due to no longer having the need to store my emotions in my muscles?”
Remember- you do not answer the question. Just ask it.
This has also helped me re-sculpt my body to a size 16 bottom and 18 top by asking, “Why I am a size 16?” Added to this was the use of the green smoothies and cutting out animal flesh in the form of the highly toxic chicken and red meat.
Remember as well to change how you feel in a circumstance, not how you feel about that circumstance.
Who has read the book - ‘Pollyanna’ by Eleanor Porter. I really feel we all need to read it once a year at least. The principle of the ‘Glad Game’ is a very important one.
It is free from Kindle, which you can download on your PC even if you do not have an e-reader device.
